Omelets are a filling breakfast dish that’s equally at home for dinner. The almost effortless preparation makes them ideal when you’re pressed for time, and their versatility makes them great for eating regularly and never getting bored. Indeed, you can use any omelet-worthy ingredients you have on hand, from sausage to spinach, bacon to bell peppers. We like the simplicity of this Mushroom and Egg White Omelet, though, because you can cook one for each person in just a few minutes. Cook all the mushrooms and scallions at once, then you need only cook the egg base. For a full meal, add a side of home fries or hash browns.
Popcorn is quite simple. Just buy a packet of popcorn kernels, fry them in oil in a covered pan, and add salt, or anything you like. You can really create your own flavor here, like cinnamon, plain salt, salt and pepper, spicy, and so on. Just make sure that the frying pan is covered. That is very important, otherwise, the popcorn kernels are going to be popping all over your stove top, cabinets, the floors, you get the idea. It is going to look like an explosion in Molly Weasley’s kitchen (Yes, I read all the Harry Potter books 😉 )
Salad — You really can’t go wrong with low-carb vegetables, especially with mixed greens as the base. Add some bacon bits, hard-boiled egg, and/or parmesan cheese for extra fat and protein. I made those today with lime flavour. I wanted sour candy and didn’t have citric acid… but now it’s in a mold (same kind of mold you used) in the fridge. I tried to get it out of the mold, but it’s not possible. it breaks. So is there a better way to get it out or didn’t I use enough agar-agar? Or is it not long enough in the fridge yet… what did I do wrong?
Easy peasy. Mix a little plant-based protein powder with water or almond milk to create a thick pudding then top it with your favourite fruit and a sprinkling of nuts or seeds. I love cherries or strawberries and almonds, sliced banana and walnuts or chopped apple and hemp seeds. To make a peanut butter protein pudding, add 2 tbsp of powdered peanut butter to vanilla protein and mix with water to make a thick, mousse-like pudding.
